Brockman Hall for Opera

ROLE
Specialized Advisory / Construction Operations Leadership

OVERVIEW
Brockman Hall for Opera is an 84,000-square-foot academic and performance facility supporting opera training and production for Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. Delivered via CMAR, the project required exceptional coordination across architectural, acoustical, theatrical, and MEP systems to meet exacting performance and instructional standards within an active campus environment.

SCOPE OF INVOLVEMENT
Elevate founder JT Carter supported construction operations with Linbeck Group, LLC, for Brockman Hall for Opera, contributing to coordination, sequencing, and quality control across complex building systems. A defining element of the project was the ornate masonry façade—constructed with more than 550,000 handmade bricks laid in multiple patterns and extensive cast stone—requiring rigorous shop drawing review, sequencing oversight, and execution precision. The role focused on aligning design intent with constructability while supporting schedule discipline and delivery quality for a highly specialized cultural facility.
